We have a new Superintendent

Re:  Press Release:  White Pass Selects Superintendent

The White Pass school board announced the selection of Dr. Paul Farris for the position of superintendent beginning July 1, 2017.  Paul comes from the Ellensburg School District where he served as superintendent for the past 9 years.  Paul’s experience includes assignments as a math teacher, high school principal and assistant superintendent.

Dr. Farris has a B.A in Business, a M.A. in Agricultural Economics and gained his principal and superintendent certification from Washington State University.  His Ph.D. in Educational Administration was also granted by Washington State University.

Blake Griffith, White Pass Board Chair commented, “Dr. Farris was selected because of his extensive experience as a superintendent and his commitment to developing programs that serve all children”.

Dr. Farris’ contract was officially signed at the May 12, 2017 special school board meeting.

Paul and his wife Patty have four children.  Patty is currently a primary teacher in the Damman School District.
